This is my first time to know the independe day celebration in US. Iguessed it must be the same with the one in my country. But, actually I'm wrong. In Indonesia, every independence daya people join in formal ceremony hold by the government, the institution where they work or study, or specific community. Sometimes Indonesian people also march on the street and parade. But in US, people did not do that. They prefer going picnic out the city or gathering with their family and friend to follwing the formal ceremony. Another thing often found in US is that many people drink on holiday. Yup, that's right. Americans are dancing, drinking, having tour, etc. Every shops and buildings are closed. People go downtown.
This maybe my lucky because I could spent my time seeing different independence celebration. In Indonesia, A month before the independence, we will see flags in every house. But, here, Independence day is same with the casual day. No much flags, atributes, and decoration to show that the independence is a good time. I guest that not all of Americans will follow the celebration held by the governments. People will be very busy gathering and having some picnics with their family out of the city.

Travel
Traveling is one of my hobby. I love to know new places, new things, and new people. I like to do traveling in Indonesia. Since I was in Junior High School, I always go and back from school using bicycle or sometimes motorcycle. It makes me healthy, Besides that it also gives me chance to see many things happen on the street. I think this hobby is valuable because it can help me to have more ability in knowing other place, describing buildings, etc. Traveling to Ohio University in Athens probably was the longest journey I ever do. Before this, I only went to Thailand and Malaysia. Ohio-Indonesia is about 13.000 or 15.000 kilometers. It spent 30 hours in the plane. This traveling is the tiring traveling for me, but I enjoy it.
I departed from Jakarta at June 26, 2009. We transited in Narita airport, japan. In the plane, we could not see anything. it was dark, and the wheather was not good. I could not sleep because the temperature in the plane is very cool. The plane needs 8 hours to arrive in Tokyo. But Tokyo has 3 hours difference with the time in Jakarta. Therefore it seems we spent 11 hours on the plane. In Narita, we take many pictures. We has to wait 6 hours because the plane to US had not come.

Air pollution becomes one of the most dangerous environment problems in every country. Air pollution could be defined as the air and atmosphere damages that is caused by the presence of harmful and poisonous substance such like Sulfur oxides, Carbon monoxide, and other radioactive pollutants. Scientists find that the use of carbon-based fuel decrease the environment safety sharply. This pollution causes damages to the health of every living creature because air is primary necessity for all of them. The polluted air will harm respiratory system. As a result, living creature becomes susceptible to respiratory diseases, or even death. Air pollution is also caused by the overwhelming increase of transportation tool, vehicle and machine. Old machines do not have safety facilities to filter and maintain the emission. Carbon monoxide (CO) which is emitted by motor vehicles will react with the atmosphere and destroy the ozone layer. Ozone layer functions to filter ultra-violet light that is very damaging to human health. It will increase the temperature in the earth. Moreover, it will melt the ice in the polar and increase the sea surface. Not only modern country but also developed country suffer from air pollution. For that reason, environment scientists and authorities are working together to find best solution to solve air pollution problems.
